Free or paid Paper charts are soon being replaced by electronic charts and with real-time update of positons, the position can be seen not only on the vessels/ships but at the head office as well. Weather information can and is being integrated into the charts at both locations with an extracted feed sent to charteres and suppliers and recievers of cargoes.
